Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 banana (unpeeled)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (I like to use "natural")
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (I prefer dark bittersweet, but use your favorite)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Make a deep lengthwise slit in the unpeeled banana, without cutting all the way through it (about 3/4 of an inch).

  • Step 3: Squeeze apart banana like you would a baked potato, or use your fingers to make an opening where you cut. Spread/stuff peanut butter evenly inside along the bottom. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of peanut butter.

  • Step 4: Wrap banana in foil, sealing the top to form a sort of “boat”.

  • Step 5: Bake for about 12 minutes.

  • Step 6: Carefully remove foil (don't be alarmed that the skin has partially turned brown, that's what happens when you bake bananas). Banana should be softened and chocolate chips melted. I also like to take the back of a spoon and swipe along the chocolate chips to smooth them out.

  • Step 7: Eat straight out of the peel with a spoon!
