Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 loaf bread (cobb bread)
  • DIP INGREDIENTS
  • 250 grams cream cheese
  • 250 grams sour cream
  • 1 cup grated tasty cheese
  • 150 grams ham (diced, champagne ham)
  • 1 to 2 cup chopped capsicum (your choice of vegetables or 1 -2 cup tomatoes your choice of vegetables, or 1 -2 cup corn your choice of vegetables, or 1 -2 cup spring onion, diced, your choice of vegetables)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Slice the top of your bread and pull all out the middle of the loaf, leaving around 2.5 cm of bread surrounding the inside of the shell.

  • Step 2: Break or tear the centre bread into pieces and wrap in foil (these are used for dipping later).

  • Step 3: Mix all dip ingredients and pour into the Cob shell, return the bread lid, and bake both shell and the foil wrapped bread dippers for about 30 min. (See Note.)

  • Step 4: Serve the dip in the Cob shell whilst hot, using the bread dipper's to dip.

  • Step 5: Note~ Shell can be wrapped in foil to prevent burning I prefer this option and then for a crispy bread/dippers I unwrap in the last 5 minutes of baking.
