Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 (4 ounces) hot dogs
  • 2 (3 ounces) bread buns (hot dog buns)
  • 2 ounces sliced bacon (2 sliced,or real bacon pieces/bits)
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • Ketchup, to taste
  • Mustard, to taste
  • Hot salsa, to taste (or spicy pico de gallo, or both)
  • Onions, finely diced, if not using pico de gallo (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook bacon (or use bacon pieces/bits and skip this step).

  • Step 2: Toast the buns.

  • Step 3: Heat hot dogs (in the microwave is the quickest, but the barbecue gives them a great flavor - if using the barbecue, you will probably want to reverse steps 2 and 3, though they usually only take a couple minutes per side to cook).

  • Step 4: Layer on your condiments, and enjoy!
