The ingredients are:
  • 4 small (3/4 pound) red onions (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon oil (canola oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary, dried, crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups pork (cooked, shredded)
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce (reduced-sodium)
  • 4 bread nuns (hamburger buns, reduced-calorie and split)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a 4-cup measure or microwavable bowl combine the onions, oil, rosemary and salt; cover with a microwavable plate. Microwave on high for 5-6 minutes or until very soft, stopping once to stir. Keep covered and set aside. ***onions can be prepared ahead of time, cool and refrigerate for up to 4 days; reheat and microwave them for 30 - 60 seconds before proceeding.

  • Step 2: In an microwavable bowl combine the pork and barbecue sauce; cover with a microwavable plate. Microwave on high until heated through 3-5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Fill buns with pork and onions.
