Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons shallots, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 3/4 pounds chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, baby bella, fresh, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Marsala wine
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, fresh, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coat your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Step 2: Combine the olive oil, shallots, and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.

  • Step 3: Combine the flour, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken with the mixture and add to the slow cooker. Scatter the mushrooms over the chicken and add the Marsala.

  • Step 4: Cover and cook on low for 2 and 1/2 hours.

  • Step 5: Drain the liquid into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Combine the cornstarch with 2 teaspoons of water and stir into the saucepan. Simmer for 1 minute and add back into the slow cooker. Stir in the parsley.

  • Step 6: Serve the chicken with the sauce.
