Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Arrange six custard cups or ramekins in 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
Step 3: In a bowl combine first 8 ingredients (coconut milk -salt); whisk to blend.
Step 4: Pour custard into cups
Step 5: Pour hot water inot baking pan to come halfway up the sides of the custard cups.
Step 6: Bake until set (35-40 minutes). Remove from the water.
Step 7: Chill uncovered until cold - 3 hours, but can be made one day ahead.
Step 8: Sprinkle flans with toasted coconut.
