Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup coconut beverage (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping (Kraft or your favorite brand)
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • Toasted sweetened coconut, garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Arrange six custard cups or ramekins in 13x9x2 inch baking pan.

  • Step 3: In a bowl combine first 8 ingredients (coconut milk -salt); whisk to blend.

  • Step 4: Pour custard into cups

  • Step 5: Pour hot water inot baking pan to come halfway up the sides of the custard cups.

  • Step 6: Bake until set (35-40 minutes). Remove from the water.

  • Step 7: Chill uncovered until cold - 3 hours, but can be made one day ahead.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle flans with toasted coconut.
