Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large yellow onion (sliced thinly)
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 teaspoons corn flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons Vegemite
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons mustard (grainy)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the butter in a pan and saute the onion for 5 minutes or until onion's are soft. Add the mushrooms and cook a further 2 minutes. Blend the cornflour with a little of the water and add to the pan with remaining water, Vegemite, sauces and mustard. Stir over a medium heat until the sauce thickens.

  • Step 2: Pour over steaks for serving.
