Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound dry spaghetti (thick)
  • 1 cup grated pecorino romano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 2 cups water (reserved pasta water)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Start by bringing a large pot of water to a boil. Season the water with salt.

  • Step 2: Add in your pasta, and cook according to directions, al dente.

  • Step 3: Before straining the pasta, take two cups of the pasta water out, and set aside.

  • Step 4: In large skillet, melt butter add pepper saute a minute or two.

  • Step 5: Add the strained pasta to the large skillet, then toss. Mix in the pecorino romano cheese, and begin adding in the pasta water until you have a nice smooth sauce.

  • Step 6: Season with a pinch of salt to taste, and season more if you need to.
