How to Make

  • Step 2: In a small saucepan, simmer wine, sugar stirring for about 10 minutes.

  • Step 4: Simmer pear slices in wine until liquid begins to thicken slightly. You want a syrupy consistency.

  • Step 5: Place french bread on a baking sheet.

  • Step 6: Spread a layer of Gorgonzolla on top of each piece of bread.

  • Step 7: Place 1 poached pear slice on each piece of bread.

  • Step 8: Bake for 10 minutes, or until bread looks lightly toasted.
