Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (white)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce (Lee Kum Kee brand is what I use)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Over medium heart, stir vinegar and sugar together in a small pan. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely, about 7-10 minutes.

  • Step 2: Add the salt, and reduce heat to low. Simmer until thickened slightly, about 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Remove from heat and add the chili garlic sauce into the sauce pan. Stir well.

  • Step 4: Allow to cool to room temperature before serving. May be served cold out of the refrigerator after making and chilling.
