  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • Nonstick cooking spray

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the flour,cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • Step 3: With a pastry blender or fork,

  • Step 4: Work in the cream cheese and butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk, then stir (the dough should be firm but not dry).

  • Step 5: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 2 or 3 times or until smooth.

  • Step 6: Roll the dough out about 1/2 inch thick; using a 2 inch biscuit cutter dipped in flour.

  • Step 7: Cut out 12 round biscuits, let rest for 1 hour in fridge.

  • Step 8: Coat a baking sheet with the cooking spray, then arrange the biscuits on it.

  • Step 9: Bake for 12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden. my oven is slow check yours

  • Step 10: Makes 12 biscuits.
