Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1/4 cup wild rice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts (toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add broth, rices, herbs, salt and pepper to medium saucepan with lid and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium heat and cover with lid. Cook 50 minutes (do not lift lid).

  • Step 2: Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 10 minutes.

  • Step 3: Remove lid and add butter and parsley; stir to mix.

  • Step 4: Place into serving bowl and sprinkle with pine nuts.

  • Step 5: Serve.
