Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (14 3/4 ounce) cooked salmon (save 2 Tablespoon juice)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped sweet onion
  • 2 large eggs (well beaten)
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs (might need 1/4th cup more)
  • Oil (vegetable oil, 1/3 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Except for 2 tablespoons salmon juice,drain juice and remove bones.

  • Step 2: Place salmon, garlic powder, eggs, lemon juice and mayonnaise into medium size bowl.

  • Step 3: Add onion, pepper, and Old Bay Seasoning then lightly mix in baking powder and breadcrumbs.

  • Step 4: Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat until hot but not smoking.

  • Step 5: Form into 4 1/3 inch patties and fry until golden brown.

  • Step 6: Please make sure patties are cooked through before serving.
