Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 onions, large (chopped)
  • 2 apples, large (peeled, cored and chopped)
  • 2 pounds sauerkraut (rinsed and drained)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 pounds kielbasa sausage (cut in 2-inch rounds)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a skillet, melt butter and saute onions and apples until translucent.

  • Step 2: Combine sauerkraut, apple/onion mixture, ketchup and dill in the slow cooker. Stir in kielbasa.

  • Step 3: Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours. (The cooking time depends upon your slow cooker. Newer models cook faster.)
