  • 6 cups beef broth (good quality)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard (old fashioned grainy)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt the bacon drippings in a large heavy bottomed pot and toss in the onions and garlic; cook until onions are softened and start to brown at the edges.

  • Step 3: Remove bay leaves and ladle into bowls.
