Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 (750 ml) jar mincemeat
  • 1 (300 ml) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 cups mixed glace fruit, chopped
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • Whole glace cherries, optional, for garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: Stir together flour and baking soda; set aside.

  • Step 2: Combine eggs, mincemeat, condensed milk, chopped fruits and nuts.

  • Step 3: Add dry ingredients; mix well.

  • Step 4: Divide batter between two greased 9” x 5” loaf pans.

  • Step 5: Bake in a preheated 300 degree Fahrenheit oven, for 1 hour and 20 to 25 minutes, or until done.

  • Step 6: Cool 15 minutes.

  • Step 7: Turn out of pans, cool completely.

  • Step 8: Garnish with glace cherries if using.
