Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 180 grams pita bread (3 thin breads)
  • Olive oil
  • Zataar spice blend (mixture of oregano, thyme and rosemary)
  • 8 ounces queso fresco cheese (or 6 ounces of syrian white cheese, patted dry and thinly sliced)
  • Tomato, sliced, optional
  • Avocado, optional
  • Spinach, optional

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brush of inside of the pitas with olive oil and sprinkle with spice.

  • Step 2: Put the cheese slice on top of the pitas; add optional ingredients if desired. Roll up the pita to enclose the cheese.

  • Step 3: Heat a panini press until hot.

  • Step 4: Add sandwiches, closs panini press. Cook for 2-4 minutes or until bread is crisp and golden.
