  • 2 1/2 cups whipping cream (divided)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan over medium high heat bring 1 1/2 cups creams and the remaining ingredients to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves and butter melts. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until mixture is thick, stirring often (30-40 minutes).

  • Step 2: Remove from heat. Whisk in remaining 1 cup cream and then strain into a microwavable bowl.

  • This can be made 3 days ahead, cool, cover and refrigerate. Rewarm in microawave at 15 second intervals
