Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup dry rice (I use low GI white or Basmati)
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1 cup frozen vegetables (I use a mix or carrot, corn and peas)
  • 4 shallots (French shallots, or 1 small red onion finely sliced)
  • 2 bacon slices (rindless very lean Canadian style chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon oil (peanut oil or vegetable)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce (ketchup)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped shrimp (if large chop to bite size pieces)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put from rice to soy sauce in a microwave safe container and stir and then cover.

  • Step 2: Microwave on high for twenty minutes, at the 15 minutes point add the prawns.

  • Step 3: Leave for about 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Stir and serve.
