Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter (very softened but not melted)
  • Cayenne (just a pinch, optional)
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced (depending on how much you like garlic)
  • 8 ounces shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pound shredded cheddar cheese (sharp)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup chopped green onion (to taste)
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 French bread loaf (French or Italian bread, if your your bread is small then you could use 2 loaves)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise and sour cream, soft butter and cayenne until smooth. Mix in minced garlic, then both cheeses and green onion.

  • Step 2: Preheat broiler.

  • Step 3: Slice loaf of bread in half horizontally, lay crust side down. Spread cheese mixture over both sliced sides of the bread. Sprinkle 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese over each bread top.

  • Step 4: Place under the broiler until nicely browned, about 3 to 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove from broiler and let sit for 5 minutes until cool enough to handle. Slice the bread with a bread knife. Serve.
