Step 1: Preheat waffle iron.
Step 2: Blend pancake mix, hazelnuts and allspice in large bowl, set aside.
Step 3: Whisk pumpkin, milk, eggs and oil in small bowl until blended.
Step 4: Stir into dry mixture until blended.
Step 5: If mixture is too thick, add additional milk, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Step 6: Spread 1 1/3 cups batter over preheated waffle iron. Cook as directed in your waffle iron instructions.
Step 7: Serve with maple syrup or pear compote (see description) and a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
