Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped yellow onions
  • 1 cup dry long grain white rice
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup raisins (golden)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts (roasted)
  • 1 chopped fresh tablespoon mint
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat heat the oil. Stir in onions and saute for 10 minutes.

  • Step 2: Stir in next 5 ingredients (rice - allspice) and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook until rice is tender and broth is absorbed (20 minutes).

  • Step 3: Stir in pine nuts, mint and dill.

  • Step 4: Season with salt and pepper.
