  • 1 pound Italian sausage (links, casings removed)
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 8 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 can (28 ounce) tomatoes (crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (fresh grated)
  • 12 ounces orechiette pasta (cooked al dente)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute sausage, onion, garlic, mushrooms, Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper until sausage crumbles and is browned; drain fat.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile, cook orecchiette pasta in boiling salted water until it is al dente, time as your package directs; drain pasta.

  • Step 4: Stir parsley, half-and-half and Parmesan cheese into sauce.
