Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (sliced into about 2-inch bite size pieces)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper (or more to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 3 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • Grapeseed oil, for frying (or use an oil with a high smoke point)
  • Sauce, for dipping
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Beat together 2 eggs with 1 tsp water till fluffy.

  • Step 2: In another bowl stir together the panko breacrumbs, sesame seeds, smoked paprika and 1 tsp salt and pepper.

  • Step 3: Coating one piece at a time, dredge the chicken pieces into the beaten eggs, then coat with the panko breadcrumb mixture. Place chicken pieces on a plate.

  • Step 4: Heat oil over medium until hot enough for frying.

  • Step 5: Fry the chicken pieces in batches (if the oil is at the correct temperature, it should bubble and sizzle evenly with no splatters or popping from the seeds).

  • Step 6: Flip the chicken pieces when they turn dark golden brown (cooking should take 2-3 minutes per side for the chicken to become golden and crisp, TIP: try to only turn them once, rather than repeatedly turning the pieces, this will help to keep the crispy coating intact and keep them from becoming overly greasy).

  • Step 7: Place fried pieces on a wire rack to drain.

  • Step 8: Serve with dipping sauce.
