Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, cooked, drained
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 5 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 3 celery ribs, sliced
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
  • 2 garlic bouillon cubes
  • 2 tomato chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons caraway seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 cups cabbage bite size

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook beef till done and drain.

  • Step 2: Put all remaining ingredients EXCEPT cabbage, in large stock pot and simmer.

  • Step 3: When vegetables are tender crisp, add cabbage.

  • Step 4: Cover and simmer till cabbage is done.

  • Step 5: You may add pasta, or other seasonings.

  • Step 6: I served this with garlic bread.
