Step 2: Pour corn into a greased baking dish. Top with dollops of cream cheese (DO NOT MIX CREAM IN, DOLLOP ON TOP).
Step 3: Combine milk, butter, sugar, salt and pepper; pour over corn and cream cheese.
Step 4: Bake, uncovered, 30 to 45 minutes, stirring frequently, until corn is creamy and heated through.Top with sliced green onions or chives, if desired.
