Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups miniature pretzels
  • 1/2 cup corn chips (Fritos)
  • 1/2 cups salted peanuts (lightly salted peanuts, chopped)
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (4 oz)
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F. Line a 9 x 13 inch pan with parchment paper.

  • Step 2: Break pretzels into thirds and fourths. Do not crush them. Break up corn chips. Mix pretzels, chips and peanuts in the pan.

  • Step 3: Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. When completely melted, stir in brown sugar. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring once or twice. Pour over pretzel mixture and bake for 7 minutes.

  • Step 4: Remove pan from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot mixture. Return pan to oven for 1 minute, then remove it from oven and spread softened chocolate over mixture.

  • Step 5: Let cool in pan for 1 hour, then chill until the chocolate sets and candy holds together.

  • Step 6: When ready to serve, break slab into approximately 16 pieces.
