Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 21 fresh scallops (sea scallops)
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 7 bacon slices (cut into thirds vertically)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Grease a pie dish or baking dish and set aside.

  • Step 3: In a separate pie dish combine first 5 ingredients (flour - garlic powder).

  • Step 4: In a separate pie dish mix the egg and milk together.

  • Step 5: In a separate pie dish put in the bread crumbs.

  • Step 6: In assembly line fashion - roll scallops in flour mixture, then dip in milk/egg mixture, and then in the breadcrumbs. Wrap each scallops with 1 slice of the (pre-sliced) bacon, secure with a toothpick and transfer to greased dish. Repeat with all the scallops.

  • Step 7: Bake for 20-25 minutes in pre-heated oven.

  • Step 8: Serve warm with tartar sauce or cocktail sauce.
