  • 2 boneless strip loin steaks (beef, 8 to 10 ounces each, about 1 inch thick)
  • Onion powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium-sized onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1 can (14 ounce) diced tomatoes (Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained)
  • Cooked noodles (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Generously, season the steaks on both sides with the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  • Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Brown the steaks for around 2 minutes per side.

  • Step 3: Reduce the heat to medium and add the onion, green pepper, and diced tomatoes, then cover and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Uncover and cook for 7 to 10 more minutes, or to desired doneness, turning halfway through the cooking.

  • Step 5: Serve with cooked noodles if desired.
