Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 300 grams beef sirloin (trimmed of excess fat)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 mango, whole
  • 80 grams mixed salad greens
  • 2 pears, whole (peeled, cored and thinly sliced)
  • 1/3 cup fat-free salad dressing (caesar salad dressing, specified low fat, 80ml)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sprinkle both sides of the steak with the pepper.

  • Step 2: Preheat an oven grill (broiler) on medium.

  • Step 3: Cook steak for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking.

  • Step 4: Transfer to plate, cover loosely with foil and set aside for 5 minutes to rest.

  • Step 5: Cut the cheeks from either side of the 2 mango stones and cut the remaining flesh from around the stones.

  • Step 6: Peel the cheeks and then slice the flesh into thin strips.

  • Step 7: Thinly slice the steak across the grain.

  • Step 8: Arrange the salad leaves on a serving plate and top with the steak, mango and pear.

  • Step 9: Drizzle over the salad dressing and sprinkle with pepper.
