Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 500 grams ground pork (mince)
  • 1 tablespoon grated gingerroot (finely grated)
  • 1 chili pepper (red long seeded finely chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup coriander (leaves finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (peanut oil)
  • Chili sauce (dipping recipe below to serve)
  • Lime wedge (to serve)
  • CHILI DIPPING SAUCE
  • 1 small chili pepper (small red seeded and thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine pork, ginger, chilli, black pepper, sesame seeds, fish sauce and coriander in a medium bowl.

  • Step 2: Shape 2 tablespoons of the mince mixture into a patty and repeat to make 12 patties.

  • Step 3: Place on a plate and cover with plastic food wrap and chill for 15 minutes.

  • Step 4: Heat a char-grill pan over moderately high heat and brush the patties with oil and add to the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes each side or until cooked, alternatively you could cook them on the barbecue/outdoor or indoor grill.

  • Step 5: Make chilli dipping sauce by combining all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

  • Step 6: Serve pork patties with dipping sauce and lime wedges.
