Step 1: Preheat oven to 325F.
Step 2: In a large saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter.
Step 3: Add cocoa and sugar; mix well and remove from heat.
Step 4: Beat in eggs and flavoring.
Step 5: Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into batter.
Step 6: Stir in oatmeal and nuts.
Step 7: Pour batter into a 9x13 Pyrex dish, sprayed with cooking spray.
Step 8: Bake at 325F. for 25-30 minutes.
Step 9: Do not over bake!
Step 10: Glaze or frost, if desired.
Step 11: Cool completely before cutting into squares.
