Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • SALAD
  • 4 leaves green leaf lettuce, torn
  • 2 teaspoons oil (olive oil or walnut oil)
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 dash garlic salt
  • 1 dash Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons diced sweet onion
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • TOPPING
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons shredded parmesan
  • POTENTIAL ADD-INS
  • 1 ripe tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, or other dried fruit
  • 1/4 cup pecans, or other nuts
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put salad ingredients in a large bowl.

  • Step 2: Add whatever add-in's you are using. If your garden is done for the year try dried fruits and nuts, or olives and mushrooms. The possibilities are endless.

  • Step 3: Toss well, taste and adjust seasonings.

  • Step 4: Transfer to serving bowl or salad plates, top with pepper and parmesan.
