Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • Frosting:
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.

  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugars until craamy.

  • Step 3: Add egg, peanut butter, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Mix well.

  • Step 4: Add flour, oats and nuts. Mix in well.

  • Step 5: Spread mix evenly into pan, and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Step 6: Take out of oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top. As they melt, spread with a knife all over the top. Set aside to cool.

  • Step 7: In a medium size mixing bowl add confectionary sugar, peanut butter and 2 tablespoons of milk. Mix until smooth, adding the last tablespoon of milk, if needed, to make it creamy but not runny.
