Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 ounces sliced bread (4 slices good, solid and crusty)
  • 12 ounces avocado (ripe and reasonable soft, 2 avocado)
  • Lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
  • Salt (freshly grounded to taste)
  • Pepper (freshly grounded to taste)
  • 8 ounces sliced bacon (8 slices, best, rind removed and cut in half)
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup (see not in intro)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Have the bread slices ready to toast.

  • Step 2: Peel and stone the avocadoes and mash them roughly and add the lemon juice and season well.

  • Step 3: Grill or fry the bacon until it is crisp and drain it on paper towels.

  • Step 4: Toast the bread, divide the avocado mixture between the slices and neatly top with the bacon slices and then drizzle over the maple syrup and serve at once.
