Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 tablespoon oil (olive oil)
  • 1 pound kielbasa (polish kielbasa)
  • 1 cup dry white rice
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 to 2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil (olive oil)
  • 1 cup frozen peas (do not thaw)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut kielbasa in half lengthwise, then into 1/2 slices. Saute in heated skillet with oil until lightly browned.

  • Step 2: Combine all ingredients except peas into saucepan. Cook uncovered on high until rice comes to a boil, then cover and turn down to low, cooking for 20 minutes. Do not remove lid during this time.

  • Step 3: Remove from heat. Mix peas in by fluffing rice with a fork. Replace lid and let sit for a few minutes until the peas are warm.
