Ingredients

  • 1 pound French bread loaf
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 pinch Italian seasoning
  • Parsley to taste
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Baked Garlic Bread:

  • Step 2: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 3: Slice bread in half lengthwise and place on cookie sheet.

  • Step 4: Combine remaining ingredients and spread on bread.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle with parmesan on one half, if desired.

  • Step 6: Put bread back together and cut into serving size pieces.

  • Step 7: Wrap tightly in aluminum foil, sealing the edges of the foil.

  • Step 8: Bake for about 15 minutes or until heated through.

  • Step 11: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 12: Slice bread into thick slices and place on a cookie sheet.

  • Step 15: Bake for about 10 minutes or until heated through.

  • Step 16: If not golden, turn to broil and watch carefully - no more than 1 minute!
