  • 5 to 6 bratwurst sausage
  • 1 bottle (12 ounce) beer
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
  • Salt & pepper to taste (for the onions and peppers)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place bratwursts in pan just large enough to hold them in a single layer.

  • Step 2: Pour beer into pan, cover and bring to a good simmer. Cook until plump and starting to split.

  • Step 3: In the meantime, saute onion and pepper in oil over medium-high heat. You want them to caramelize slightly, but not steam.

  • Step 4: Serve hot with a grainy, Dijon mustard.
