Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast (or thighs whichever you prefer to use)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon vinegar (or rice wine)
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or peanut oil)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or water)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 scallions (spring or green onions, cut into 1 inch pieces)
  • 5 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Cooked rice

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut chicken into cubes. Lightly toss with cornstarch in bag to coat.

  • Step 2: Heat oil in skillet or wok over medium-high heat; add in chicken and chopped garlic; stir-fry tossing constantly until lightly browned.

  • Step 3: Add soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and chicken broth (or water) then cover and cook 3 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Add green onions and cayenne; cook uncovered about 2 minutes longer.
