Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • MARINADE
  • 2 tablespoons ginger (jarred prepared ginger)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • SAUCE
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place all the marinade ingredients in a large re-sealable plastic bag; add wings mix to coat and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.

  • Step 2: Bring the grill to medium-low heat and cook the wings turning often until cooked through, about 15- 20 minutes, depending on how thick the wings are.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile, whisk together the sauce ingredients in a large stainless steel bowl or foil pan; set aside.

  • Step 4: When wings are fully cooked toss them in the bowl or foil pan with sauce mixing them to cover all the wings.

  • Step 5: Increase heat to medium and place the bowl full of wings on the grill over direct heat.

  • Step 6: Continue to cook for about 5-6 minutes tossing the bowl to stir wings every couple of minutes.

  • Step 7: Remove from BBQ pour in a serving platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish.

  • Step 8: Enjoy!
