The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups dry elbow macaroni (cooked, drained)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (or butter)
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced (seeded)
  • 16 ounces ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)
  • 1 can (14 ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350*F.

  • Step 2: In a skillet, saute onions and peppers in oil until soft.

  • Step 3: Remove to a large bowl; set aside.

  • Step 4: In same skillet brown hamburger with garlic powder. Drain the fat, then add to the same bowl that has the onion mixture. Mix in 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, condensed soup, tomatoes with juice, oregano, basil, cumin, salt, and pepper. Then mix in cooked macaroni.

  • Step 5: Pour in a baking dish coated with cooking spray.

  • Step 6: Add 2 cups cheddar cheese on top.

  • Step 7: Bake 20-30 minutes or until bubbly.

  • Step 8: Let set for about 5 minutes before cutting.
