Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (30 ounce) frozen country-style hash browns (partially thawed)
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) condensed cream of onion soup, undiluted (see note)
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, fine minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 cups old Cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F. Butter a 9x13 inch pan.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together using 1 cup cheddar cheese (save the remainder for top). Transfer to baking pan.

  • Step 3: Bake 35-40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

  • Step 4: Remove from the oven and top with 1 cup cheddar cheese, return to oven and bake 5-8 minutes or until cheese is melted.
