  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups evaporated milk (canned)
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 pound dried beef (chopped, optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown the hamburger. Remove the meat to bowl.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle flour into fat; brown the flour. Add the canned milk and enough water to make a gravy, stirring on low. Add hamburger back to gravy. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook on low for a while (the longer you cook the better); 15 minutes is good. you have to keep stirring this

  • Step 3: You can add dried beef if you want, cut in small pieces.
