Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup oats (ground fine)
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 corn ear (sliced off cob)
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix milk, egg, sour cream and vinegar together. Add cornmeal and oatmeal, let sit in skillet.

  • Step 2: Melt butter, add onions and brown. When browned add corn; cook 1 minute longer. Add baking powder to meal; mix.

  • Step 3: When onions cooled, add to meal mix; mix.

  • Step 4: Pour into 8 inch round cake pan that you have sprayed Pam into.

  • Step 5: Bake 15 minutes in 350 degree oven, check at 10 minutes my ovens wonky.
