Step 1: Mix turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, salt, paprika, and parsley together. Rub mixture all over chicken.
Step 2: Saute onion in butter and oil (I add garlic). Take out.
Step 3: Add the chicken to pan and brown chicken. Take out put in a casserole dish.
Step 4: Add cooked potatoes and cook until lightly browned.
Step 5: Put potatoes in casserole dish over chicken. Add onions and garlic.
Step 6: Cover with foil.
Step 7: Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes.
Step 8: Uncover; bake another 20 minutes.
Step 9: Start rice when you uncover chicken. Heat oil; add rinsed rice and turmeric. Fry until puffed not burned.
Step 10: Add boiling water; bring to a boil. Cover; simmer cook 20 minutes; serve under chicken.
