Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast (cubed, or 6 skinless boneless thighs, cubed)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoons oil (sesame seed oil)
  • 2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • HONEY SAUCE
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Sesame seeds, toasted
  • 2 green onions, diced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut your chicken breasts into bite size pieces.

  • Step 2: Put chicken, soy sauce, wine, sesame oil and sugar in a bag and marinate for 1-2 hours then drain chicken.

  • Step 3: Add vegetable oil to a shallow pan on medium heat.

  • Step 4: Mix cornstarch, flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a large ziploc bag.

  • Step 5: In 3 batches, add chicken to flour mixture, shake gently to coat, and then toss in your frying pan until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

  • Step 6: FOR SAUCE: Mix honey, oyster sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, soy sauce and water in a medium sauce pan, bring to a boil then simmer until sauce begins to thicken.

  • Step 7: Pour sauce over chicken pieces and toss.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions and serve.
