Step 1: Saute bacon until crisp in a large dutch oven or very large skillet.
Step 2: When bacon is crisp, add diced onion and saute until translucent.
Step 3: Add the chicken stock, salt, pepper, onion powder and green beans. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 4: Add the new potatoes to the pot and simmer an additional 20-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
