Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 lb bacon, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 3 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cleaned
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 8-10 New Potatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute bacon until crisp in a large dutch oven or very large skillet.

  • Step 2: When bacon is crisp, add diced onion and saute until translucent.

  • Step 3: Add the chicken stock, salt, pepper, onion powder and green beans. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add the new potatoes to the pot and simmer an additional 20-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
