Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: In a large bowl or using your stand mixer cream together 1 cup butter, dark brown sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Step 3: Add the spices, instant coffee, and flour and mix well.
Step 4: Fold in raisins, dates, and walnuts.
Step 5: Spread into a greased cookie sheet bar pan.
Step 6: Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Step 7: Frosting: Beat together powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons butter and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Thin with milk.
Step 8: Frost bars when completely cooled.
