  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 7 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add lard, sugar and salt to boiling water.

  • Step 2: Let cool.

  • Step 3: Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to sugar mixture.

  • Step 4: Make a well and stir water mixture into flour. Knead.

  • Step 5: Make into balls and let rise 3 hours in warm place.

  • Step 6: Bake in moderate oven 375 degrees. I'm guessing 20 minutes or until browned.
