Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups pecan halves

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon mix together the sugars corn syrup and butter (i used mixer ).

  • Step 2: Stir in eggs one at time until absorbed.

  • Step 3: Melt chocolate over hot not boiling water and stir into sugar mixture until combined.

  • Step 4: Stir flour to aerate. Stir in flour until just combined

  • Step 5: Stir in pecans reserving 1/2 cup for top.

  • Step 6: Butter jelly roll pan.

  • Step 7: Turn onto jelly roll pan and spread evenly sprinkle with pecans.

  • Step 8: Bake in preheated oven 350 degrees until cake tester comes out clean 20 minutes check at 15 minutes.

  • Step 9: Cut into bars making 6 evenly spaced cuts on 15 inch side and 5 on 10 inch side.
